Changing the Touchscreen's Volume
- On your Home screen:
- Swipe up to open the dashboard (if applicable), tap the gear icon, then tap Sound.
- Or, if your touchscreen has apps, you can change the volume using the volume button on the right side of the device.
- Tap Volume.
- Tap and drag the white circle on the volume bar to adjust your Chime and touchscreen volume or tap the silence icon at the left end of the volume bar.
- You can also adjust the volume by tapping the sound icons on the left and right of the volume bar.
- Chime is the sound your touchscreen makes when Sensors are triggered, for example when a door opens or closes.
- Touchscreen Volume controls the sound level for Trouble alerts and Arming/Disarming countdowns.

Playing a Sound When a Sensor Status Changes
You can configure your touchscreen to play a sound every time one of your sensors changes status, such as when a door opens or closes. You can choose from a selection of sounds and assign the same or different sounds to some or all of your sensors.
- On your Home screen:
- Swipe up to open the dashboard (if applicable), tap the gear icon, then tap Sound. Continue with Step 2.
- Or, if your touchscreen has apps, tap the Settings icon, enter your Master Keypad Code, tap TouchScreen, Sound Configuration, and then Hometone Configuration to assign sounds to your sensor alerts. Continue with Step 3.
- Note: Your screen will look slightly different from the example. Tap Return to Menu to save your settings.
- Enter your Master Keypad Code.
- For each sensor, tap the arrow buttons to choose the sounds that the touchscreen will play when the sensor status changes. Each sensor has two statuses, such as open and closed for a Door/Window Sensor or motion and still for a Motion Sensor. Tap Silence to disable sound for the sensor. If sound is already disabled, tap Silence to enable it.
Playing a Sound When You Tap the Screen
You can configure the touchscreen to play a "click" sound each time you tap the screen to perform an action.
- On your Home screen:
- Swipe up to open the dashboard (if applicable), tap the gear icon, then tap Sound.
- Or, go to Playing a Sound for a Touchscreen with Apps.
- Tap Touch Sounds to toggle sounds on or off.
Playing a Sound for a Touchscreen with Apps
- Tap the gear icon.
- Enter your Master Keypad Code.
- On the Categories screen, tap TouchScreen.
- Under TouchScreen, tap Audible Feedback.
- Tap the arrow button, and choose Yes to have the touchscreen play a click sound when you tap the screen. To have the touchscreen remain silent when you tap the screen, choose No. Tap Return to Menu to save your settings.
Did You Know? Depending on your device model, you can change the touchscreen volume using the volume button on the right side of the device.
