Do You Need a Battery?
Make sure you have batteries before you proceed. Visit your nearest retail store that sells batteries, or click the button below to order your replacement battery kit.
Call us at 1-800-xfinity if you receive a low battery alert within 30 days of device installation.
How to Install the Batteries
If you subscribe to Xfinity Home, before proceeding, make sure that your system is disarmed. Working on devices while the system is armed can generate false alarms.

Is This Your Door Lock? Make sure that your Door Lock looks like the one in the image below. If it does, you're in the right place to find out how to install batteries in your Door Lock.
- Remove the battery cover by sliding it up and away from the interior assembly.
- Pull up on the battery pack to remove it from the interior assembly.
Take a Look. If batteries are already present, remove each battery by using your fingertip to gently pull one end of the battery up until the battery is loose and you can pull it free from the battery slot.
The battery pack contains a diagram of the proper battery positions with a symbol indicating which way the positive (+) end of each battery should be facing. - Insert four non-rechargeable AA batteries into the battery slots in the battery pack, positioning the positive (+) end of the batteries as shown in the battery diagram.
Check your batteries. The recommended batteries to use in your Door Lock are AA alkaline, non-rechargeable batteries. Make sure there are no lithium NiCad batteries in use.- If you're replacing the battery because of a low battery warning, press and hold the Program button for five seconds. The lock will restart.

- Insert the battery pack back into the interior assembly with the "DOOR" arrows printed on the top of the battery pack pointing toward the door. Once the battery pack snaps into place, the Door Lock will emit consecutive beeps and the green indicator light will flash once.
- If you are replacing the batteries, confirm that the low battery alert has resolved and the Door Lock appears on your list of connected devices in your touchscreen and/or the Xfinity Home app.

- Slide the battery cover over the interior assembly.
