Scope and Duration
This limited warranty, provided by Comcast Cable Communications Management, LLC ("Comcast"), only covers the xFi Pod purchased from or provided by Comcast as used in connection with Xfinity Internet and a compatible Xfinity Gateway. This limited warranty lasts for a period of one (1) year from the date of receipt.
Who is Covered?
This limited warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the xFi Pod, and does not extend to any other person.
What is Covered?
Comcast warrants any failure of the Covered Equipment to operate due to a defect in material or workmanship ("Operational Failure"). Pursuant to this limited warranty, if the Covered Equipment experiences an Operational Failure, Comcast will, in its sole discretion, repair the Covered Equipment or replace it with equipment of like kind and quality with comparable features and functionality to the Covered Equipment. Replacement equipment may be new, refurbished, or remanufactured. THERE IS NO ASSURANCE, REPRESENTATION, OR GUARANTEE THAT ANY REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT WILL BE IDENTICAL.
What is Not Covered?
This limited warranty does not cover: (i) Covered Equipment used for any commercial, public, lease or other non-residential purpose or in any manner in violation of the Comcast Agreement for Residential Services, the Comcast Privacy Notice or Acceptable Use Policy or any other agreement entered into between you and Comcast; (ii) cosmetic defects, or damage or failures that do not inhibit functionality or performance; (iii) damage or failure resulting from: improper installation or setup; use in any combinations not approved in the manufacturer's specifications; unauthorized modifications, alterations, repairs or repair personnel; (iv) damage or failure caused by any physical force external to the Covered Equipment, whether accidental, intentional or due to handling; (v) costs associated with installation or de-installation of Covered Equipment; (vi) loss or damage to the Covered Equipment either while in storage or in the course of transit; (vii) normal periodic or preventative maintenance, inspections, cleaning, or tune-ups; minor adjustments and settings outlined in the user's manual for the Covered Equipment that the user can perform; (vii) costs related to any service request that results in customer education or no problem found; (ix) Covered Equipment whose serial number has been altered or removed; (x) repair or replacement covered by a recall in effect at the time of the Operational Failure; (xi) theft or loss of the Covered Equipment; (xii) wired components replaced by wireless devices; (xiii) devices connected to the xFi Pod; (xiv) Pre-existing failures or defects occurring before the equipment was established as the Covered Equipment; or (xv) consumable components.
How to Obtain Service
In the event of an Operational Failure of the Covered Equipment, contact us. All claims must be reported within thirty (30) days of the Operational Failure. At Comcast's discretion, service will be provided either: (i) by repairing or replacing the Covered Equipment at an Xfinity Retail Store, or (ii) by shipping replacement equipment to your service address for self-installation. The foregoing service will be provided pursuant to this limited warranty at no additional cost.
Conditions
Comcast may, at its sole discretion, require the return of the defective Covered Equipment to a designated location as a condition to receiving replacement equipment. Comcast will cover shipping costs associated with the return of the Covered Equipment. This limited warranty may not be assigned or transferred to any other person.
