Xfinity xFi lets you manage your home WiFi network and connected home. You can self-install and set up your WiFi environment in minutes, find your WiFi password, know who's online, view camera video, troubleshoot issues and manage family members' online experiences with features like Pause and Parental Controls.
If you are an Xfinity Internet subscriber with an Xfinity xFi Gateway, you can access the xFi experience at no additional cost through the Xfinity app. You can also see your WiFi settings and other home network information on your Xfinity X1 TV Box.
Note: If you’re a new Xfinity Internet customer, you’ll be able to access xFi once your xFi Gateway is activated. If you’re an existing Xfinity Internet customer with an eligible Xfinity Gateway, you can log in to the Xfinity app and start using xFi as soon as you’re ready to get started.
Eligibility
Xfinity xFi features are available to Xfinity Internet customers with xFi Gateways. All xFi Gateways are compatible with xFi. However, the Cisco DPC3939 model has limited xFi functionality and does not support the latest xFi features such as Advanced Security.
Notes:
- If Bridge Mode is enabled on your xFi Gateway, you’ll be able to access a version of the Xfinity app with limited features to manage your account, but you won't be able to use any Xfinity xFi features to manage, personalize and secure your home network.
- Bridge Mode users will continue to be blocked from accessing the Xfinity xFi website.
- Xfinity xFi is designed to work with one active xFi Gateway per account. In the rare event that multiple modems are required to support your service needs, you'll only be able to use xFi on the most recently added gateway.
- This applies to both customer-owned modems and rented modems.
- A second active modem on the account will also prevent activation of WiFi Boost Pods.
Read more about equipment updates. To see which model you have, go to the Devices page on My Account, or look on the bottom of your gateway.
