Xfinity Assistance Plan FAQs

What is the Xfinity Assistance Plan?

We designed the Xfinity Assistance Plan so customers who otherwise would have had their services suspended for non-payment could stay connected without accruing large outstanding balances due to the impacts of COVID-19.

Customers whose accounts are temporarily moved to the Xfinity Assistance Plan will see the Plan reflected on their bills and may receive an email, text message, or a letter. We will also notify you when the Plan is coming to an end. Please check to ensure that your current email address and phone number are up to date in My Account so that we can contact you.

For Residents in Washington, DC

As a DC resident, you are eligible for a 12-month payment plan to help pay your Xfinity bill.

For Residents of New Jersey

Now through December 31, 2021, New Jersey residents with school aged children using the Internet for educational purposes should contact us at 1-800-xfinity to reestablish Xfinity Internet service through our Xfinity Assistance Plan. Our Xfinity Assistance Plan provides Xfinity Internet and voice services for a lower price of $14.95 per month, which includes broadband Internet speeds of 50/5 Mbps and equipment through December 31, 2021. After that date, in order to maintain your Xfinity services, you will need to pay your outstanding balance or arrange a payment plan.

With an installment plan, you can pay down your past due account balance with monthly payments added to your Xfinity bill.
