INTERNET ESSENTIALS FROM COMCAST FULL PROGRAM RULES
The Internet Essentials program (the “program”) has been established by Comcast Corporation and is managed by its subsidiary Comcast Cable Communications Management, LLC (collectively, “Comcast”). A customer (“you,” “your,” “participant” or “customer”) who meets the Eligibility Criteria (as defined below) and participates in the program will have the choice to receive Internet Essentials service with download speeds of up to 75 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 10 Mbps for $14.95 per month or Internet Essentials Plus service with download speeds of up to 100 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 20 Mbps (each, the “Covered Service” and collectively, the “Covered Services”) for $29.95 per month and the option to purchase a computing device for $149.99 plus applicable taxes or such other price as may be determined and offered by Comcast from time to time (plus applicable taxes) while enrolled in the program* and have access to Web-based, print and classroom-based training programs at no additional cost.
These terms apply to the Program:
1. The program is only available to households that (i) are located where Comcast offers Internet service; (ii) have a member of the household who is receiving a form of public assistance (“qualifying public assistance”) that is set forth on https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/internet-essentials/apply or such other URL as Comcast may designate to provide information and updates to the program and provide proof of such qualifying public assistance to Comcast in accordance with the process detailed at https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/internet-essentials/apply; (iii) do not have an overdue Comcast bill or unreturned equipment less than 12 months old; and (iv) have not subscribed to any Comcast Internet service within the last ninety (90) days (sections 1(i)–(iv) collectively are defined as “Eligibility Criteria”).
2. Each year, you will be required to reconfirm that a member of your household continues to receive qualifying public assistance by providing Comcast or its authorized agent with proof of such qualifying public assistance in accordance with notifications sent to the billing address on file. If you fail to provide documentation that a member in your household is receiving qualifying public assistance, you will be deemed no longer eligible to participate in the program.
3. You will no longer be eligible to participate in the program if (i) you no longer meet the Eligibility Criteria; (ii) you fail to maintain your Comcast account in good standing; (iii) Comcast ceases to provide the Covered Service to your location; or (iv) you fail to provide proof of qualifying public assistance as described in paragraphs 1 and 2 herein; or (v) your account opened under the Program is closed. Program participation also may be terminated if the Covered Service is upgraded, altered, or changed by you for any reason. If you are no longer eligible for the Program, but you continue to receive the Covered Service from Comcast, regular rates and any other applicable terms and conditions will apply to the Covered Service.
4. While you participate in the program, you will (i) receive the Covered Service for the price set forth herein; (ii) have the one-time option to purchase a computing device for $149.99 (plus applicable taxes)* while enrolled in the program; and (iii) have access to Web-based, print and classroom-based training programs at no additional cost. The price of the Covered Service is limited to a single outlet and in-home Internet equipment. Self-Install kit included at no extra charge. Additional charges apply for home drop off, professional installation, additional outlets for the Covered Service, other Xfinity services and service appointments.
5. If you purchase a piece of computer equipment as part of your participation in the program, your computer equipment will be covered by the warranty of the manufacturer or some other identified third party and you should direct any and all issues related to the computer equipment to the manufacturer or such other third party. No additional warranties of the computer are provided by Comcast.
6. Internet service and equipment use is subject to Comcast’s standard terms and conditions of service and acceptable use policies.
7. Comcast reserves the right to make changes to the program from time to time, including, but not limited to, changes to the monthly price, features and/or speed of the Covered Services.
