You may be eligible to purchase phones, tablets and smartwatches on DPPs with Xfinity Mobile, based on your credit screening or your payment history as an Xfinity customer.
If you qualify, you’ll have a certain number of eligible lines with a total DPP dollar limit.
- E.g., You may be eligible to open up to three DPPs with a total limit of $2,000.
Read on to learn more about DPP eligibility.
How many DPPs can I get with Xfinity Mobile?
When you’re shopping for a new device, we’ll show you:
- How many of your total available lines qualify for a DPP.
- How much of your total DPP dollar limit is available.
Your total available lines may include lines where you'll need to bring your own device (BYOD) or pay in full for a new device.
How do I qualify for more DPPs and a higher total DPP limit?
If you consent to a credit check, we may be able to increase your number of DPP-eligible lines and total dollar limit based on the results. You must be the account holder to consent to the credit check.
The credit check is a soft inquiry. This won’t affect your credit score.
If you’ve already consented to a credit check, based on your payment history with Xfinity, over time, you may qualify for more DPP-eligible lines and a higher total dollar limit.
How does making payments affect my eligibility?
Each time you make a device payment, we’ll replenish your total dollar amount available for opening new DPPs (if you have an active Xfinity Mobile account).
- E.g., you originally had a $1,000 limit on your account but now only have $100 remaining.
- If you make a $50 payment on an existing DPP, now you have $150 available after the device payment.
How do you count my device’s discounted promotional price?
If you qualify for a device promotion, we apply the discount as a monthly device credit.
Each time you receive a device credit, we’ll increase your total dollar amount available for opening new DPPs by the amount of the credit.
Do you count sales tax against my total dollar limit?
No. All applicable sales tax must be paid upfront when purchasing devices from Xfinity Mobile.
How does a down payment affect my total dollar limit?
If you’re required to make a down payment on a device purchase, only the balance of your DPP will reduce your total dollar amount available for opening additional DPPs.
What happens when I return a phone, tablet, or smartwatch on a DPP?
Once we’ve processed your return, we’ll replenish your total dollar amount available for opening new DPPs.
- E.g., If your phone has an $800 DPP balance, and you return the phone to us, your total available amount will increase by $800.
All returns and exchanges are subject to our Return and Exchange Policy.
What happens when I trade in my old phone or do an early upgrade?
Trading in your old phone for cash will not impact your DPP eligibility.
If you qualify for an Early Upgrade and bring your like-new condition old phone to an Xfinity Retail Store, we’ll waive the remaining DPP balance on this phone. Your new phone’s DPP balance will reduce your total dollar amount available.
Why is there a purchase limit on my order when I’m still below my total dollar limit?
For security purposes, if you’ve reached your purchase limit, you may need to adjust your shopping cart and place a second Xfinity Mobile order.
